The cost map
What is the total cost of your care plan?
Ask for an itemised quote: a bill with each charge named. Compare the ongoing month with the opening offer.
Put each charge on its own line
The price in large type may answer only part of the money question.
- Care
- Visit or membership charge. Ask what follow-up it includes.
- Medicine
- Exact medicine name, whether it comes as a pill or injection, and the ongoing price. Ask whether it costs extra.
- Tests
- Ask which are needed, where they happen and how they are billed.
- Changes
- Ask about stopping, refunds and a change in the care plan.
A dated price example
For semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy), the maker’s cash offers ranged from $149 to $499 per month as of September 2026, depending on product and strength.
Eligible new patients could get the maker's injection offer at $199 per month for the first two months of medicine. The offer’s terms end December 31, 2026.
That is a medicine price; it does not answer what a separate care service will charge.
- Ask for the price after the opening offer.
- Ask which product the quote covers.
- Ask what would change the quoted amount.

Membership does not always include medicine
In a September 2026 check of six large national online weight-care services, five charged a monthly membership. Each of those five charged extra for medicine.
That small sample does not tell you what every service charges. Get a written quote from the one you are considering.
- What is the total ongoing bill?
- What do I owe if no prescription is issued?
- How do I end the membership?
- Do I pay for messages or follow-up visits?
